Today, members of the California Latino Legislative Caucus were joined in unity by leaders of the Legislative Women’s, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Jewish and LGBT Caucuses in denouncing Trump Administration maneuvers on immigration policies that rip families apart at the border.

Today the California State Legislature approved the 2018-2019 State Budget, which prioritizes the needs of Holocaust Survivors, campus climate, the security of nonprofits, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Today, members of the California Latino Legislative Caucus were joined in unity by immigrant rights organizations and leaders of the Legislative Black, Women’s, Asian/Pacific Islander, LGBT and Jewish Caucuses in denouncing Trump Administration policies that rip families apart at the border. The leaders also encouraged participation in tomorrow’s “National Day of Action for Children.”

Responding to a disturbing spike in hate rhetoric and anti-Semitism, the State Assembly voted overwhelmingly with unanimous bipartisan support to demonstrate its commitment to Holocaust education Tuesday and called on Congress to urge Poland to abandon a gag rule that seems to encourage revisionist history.

Members of the California Legislative Jewish Caucus are concerned by the violence along the Israel/Gaza border. We hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict so that neighbors can live in harmony. We condemn violence and wish for Israel and Hamas to negotiate a true and lasting peace.

Today, the California State Assembly honored Holocaust survivors, descendants of survivors, and World War II liberators residing throughout the state during its annual Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony.
