(Sacramento) – We will never forget. With that as the chorus, the California State Assembly held a special ceremony to honor the survivors of the Holocaust and all those who helped them. Assemblymember Marc Levine (D-Marin County), Chair of the Legislative Jewish Caucus, passionately implored everyone to never allow the Holocaust to be forgotten, “The retelling of the horrors of the Holocaust is necessary because we, as a Democratic society, need to carry with us the memory that our institutions are very capable of breaking down and being turned against us. We must keep a check on politicians that use hatred and bigotry to get elected to office.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
